Facilities: Plenty Star Ranch, a small family-owned place of 88 acres, is located in the Southern Black Hills, 9.5 miles S. of Custer along Hwy 385 and the Mickelson Trail. We are surrounded by Black Hills National Forest with plenty of scenic riding options as well as other trails in nearby Custer State Park, to which you can trailer your horses for a day ride.
Our place currently offers the following:
6 RV hook-ups (3 full E/W/S, 3 partial E/W) on grass sites
Dispersed tent sites
2 log one-room camping cabins – No 1 sleeps 3, No 2 sleeps 5
Campfire pit, dump station, huge willow trees providing shade, 2 ponds.
5 panel stalls, 12′ x 24′ in our 80′ x 100′ open-sided barn.
1 grass pasture/turn out of about 3 acres
Several hydrants, all with drinking water
Coffee and tea on our porch each morning, as well as WiFi
Bathroom at the garage
Solar shower building – we have some bags, which I am happy to fill with hot tap water on request.
Restrictions: No pets other than horses, no smoking, and no hunting or shooting on our property. AT&T reception is only a few miles around the ranch.
Check-in is between 6 pm and 9 pm. No check-in after that. Check-out 10 am
